Hermit crab

Why is it so hard for me to leave the house? I have been finished with my stuff since about noon yet after I came home for lunch, I have this silly aversion to leaving the house!  Not just today, but constantly!  I'm not suffering from a condition (okay, maybe a some other freak condition, but not agoraphobia), maybe lazy?

Today I had clinicals again.  I'm so excited about my job!  I like every geeky thing about this profession and can't wait until I'm in clinicals daily.  Honestly, can't wait to be out of school with my job, but pining for a year isn't my way.

Started a new project last night, a lacy scarf from Knitty.  I'm using a lovely purply yarn, soft.  I have no clue what it is any longer.  The cats had gotten a hold of it at some point so I wound it all into a very large purple ball.  I'm not looking forward to blocking it when finished, but it certainly is interesting so far.

photo soon.

Today was a shopping beat down

Today was slightly productive, productive in the fact I did get up from bed, I did shower and I actually went to physics lab and lecture. And mostly I had a smile on my face.  Lab was lenses and mirrors.  Treat.  Betsy (my nuclear medicine siamese twin) had on the perfectest (yes, I know this isn't a REAL word) skirt ever.  I dislike shorts and for the most part jeans/pants. I much prefer skirts.  Short, flirty and casual skirts.  She of course got The Skirt (yes, it is that good) at Ann Taylor Loft.  Of course she did.  Couldn't get it at Target or at least on sale. After our physics torture off we went to Ann Taylor and yes I bought the skirt.  Bought two of them for that matter (lovely khaki and a chocolate brown).  I blame it on the physics class.  Have I ever mentioned how much I actively dislike physics? Thank goodness this is my last one, ever. I love summer and I love those skirts!  Tried Gap for skirts too, but they were much too short.  No need to flash jiggly legs to every one.  Ick.  On the up side, spring break in 2 weeks, yippeee!  Colorado here we come!

Every day is like Sunday...

It appears the official rainy season has started. Big thunders, flash floods, the works.  This morning:
The Pie: "mom. mom. MOM."
The still sleeping me: "What?!"
Pie: "You cannot possibly expect me to wait the bus stop this morning."
me: "What?!" (rubbing sleep from my eyes)
Pie: "....." she waits
me: "Are you kidding me? the bus stop is less than 20 feet from our door.  You have a rain coat, or an umbrella or even better, JUST STAND UNDER THE CARPORT!"
By the way she stomped, I'm guessing that wasn't the answer she was looking for.  Really though, did she expect me to move the car 20 feet to the bus stop so she could wait? She will be royally tickled and teased about that one.  Goodness, had no idea she was so princessy...

Speaking of princessy...today I have to go to the U hospital for a respiratory therapy observation for one of my classes.  I have no problems thus far with this senario.  BUT (you knew it was coming) we have to wear our program uniform.  For some reason, the nuclear med. program chose emerald green scrubs.  Doesn't really sound all that bad does it? Unfortunately, emerald green makes us all look like we're on our way to a St. Pat's party.  Sigh.  It ain't easy being green.
